An update.

Most of you know that when it comes to blogging, I suck. But I will try to be better. It's been months since I last blogged, so here's an update and some photos from my friend's recent wedding cuz they're the only pics I have saved on my computer right now.
We sold our town home in June, and now we're renting while we build our house. Our new home will be finished Dec. 11 the exact date our lease is up. Yes, I did that on purpose. If you ever find yourself considering a place on Deloy St....DON'T!! Pete and I have been married for over five years, and we've done our share of renting and what not. But, I have never seen the 'ghettoness' that I have seen here. We've only been here for 2 1/2 months! It has definitely made me miss our old community. Anyways, we are building in Calico Sky subdivison off of Iona Rd. I am totally excited and will post pics soon.

Pete started school a few weeks ago and LOVES it! It is something that he's wanted to do for a long time and we finally just did it this year. YEAH PETE! He won't be done for a while but it's worth the wait. He is still working for the post office and will continue to do so until he's done with school.

Kylie just turned four on September eighth and started her second year in preschool. For her Bday, I took her whole preschool class cupcakes and we all sang to her. She loved it. She is doing really well in school. She knows by heart the letters "A", "B", "C", "S", and "O". And points them out to me whenever she sees them at stores or on the T.V.

Shaelynn is bummed that she has to wait to start preschool, but got herself potty trained anyways. On the days that Kylie has preschool, I take her to the library and she loves it. The other day when we were about to leave, a train came by right in front of the library. Literally, right in front of our car. And the engineers waved and blew their horn at us. That story is all she can talk about now. She is so fun to watch. She has the biggest imagination and can turn anything into either a phone or a gun. Still a firecracker, but also very sweet.
And moi, I'm just counting down the days till I can move my family outa this crap hole and into our dream home. It always feels like I'm always super busy, but that's parenthood I guess.

Mountain Trip!!

We decided to take a Mountain/Fishing trip Memorial weekend. And I'm soo glad we did. Despite that fact that the weather was a little chilly and we got rained out. It was soo fun. We drove up to the Pahsemeroi Valley.

Which is way up in East Central Idaho. We drove up to Big Gulch Creek, Barney Hot Springs, and finished the day at Badger Creek where we all hiked up to a ghost town. We only caught the weird tropical fish in the hot springs. But the girls were so excited anyways to be fishing.
Try to read the writing on the wall.

Kylie's Preschool

Kylie just finished her first year of preschool, and she loved it. She is always talking about her teacher Miss Angie and her classmates. Unfortunately, a week before the end of school, she fell and hit the floor with her front bottom teeth. Now I'm worried that the one will turn brown. But really only time will tell. It's already started to turn a little on the edges. So, we'll see. She had an end-of-year program. She did so well with the actions and the singing. Mommy got a little emotional. Here are some pics from her going to preschool as well as from that program. :)

Like sands in the hour glass, so are the days of our lives.

We are all doing really well here in the crazy Nixon home. Pete's working really hard (a mere 6 days a week). He is also planning on going back to school starting this May to be a Nuclear and Electrical Engineer. I am soo proud of him!! He continues to amaze me with how driven he is. Kylie started preschool last February and she loves it! She's always talking about her teacher, Miss Angie, and about all her friends in her class. She recently just had her first book fair and a donuts with dad day. It just reminds me of how big she's getting. Shaelynn is jealous of her big sister going to preschool. But she'll be able to join her next fall. In the meantime, we are working on getting her potty trained. She's learning sooo fast. She even went a few nights in panties when we were out of diapers. And that leaves moi! I feel like I never seem to have any extra time. But currently we are trying to sell our house and that does take up a big chunk. Not to mention, we had a problem when we were fixing our sprinkler valve outside. Long story short, we are currently having to dry our walls and floors and replace trim and paint and it's definitely stressing me out. Not something you wanna deal with when you're trying to sell your home. Ah well, you just deal with what you get dealt right?
